The Loss of Daniel-Kayne

“He came to me and asked if he could transform but it could easily return to its former state … a window front on Main Street…. he wanted to live there for three days solely on water… he said was the essence of life….. He transformed the space into pure white ….. Nothing but he and a sculpture of water bottles back lit … It glowed… spiritual in feeling… simple pure and direct….. one small space of notsuoh free of clutter distraction and history… Incredible he could tame my beast of a space…. he showed me the possibility of transformation…. after the performance of existing and on display …he described the early morning hours of homeless downtown gathering to watch and his almost hallucinatory experiences as The Thirsty Artist….
