Justus Harris is a Chicago based artist and researcher. His work explores both public and private archives from his uncle’s unpublished screenplays to WWII Army training guides and digital data bases of censorship. The search for intimacy in the city, experience of chronic illness, and the need to acclimate to new technologies are some of the themes he addresses across multiple disciplines. He holds a BA in Visual Critical Studies from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and has exhibited both performance and research nationally and internationally. Most recently, he was invited as a presenter for the “Theorizing the Web 2014 Conference” in NYC. |
